RAHEEM STERLING MUST be content with a place on the Liverpool bench for their final game of the season against Stoke today.

The youngster’s future with the club has been the subject of much speculation recently, with today’s papers suggesting he favours a move to Arsenal.

And on Steven Gerrard’s final match for the club, Brendan Rodgers’ decision to leave Sterling on the bench is likely to fuel further speculation that the player’s Anfield exit is imminent.

Rodgers also conceded that all the transfer talk had been “weighing” on Sterling ahead of today’s game.
