Zebre hooker sent off for blatant bite on Connacht's Quinn Roux

Oliviero Fabiani set to face a lengthy ban for this moment of madness.

CONNACHT CUT LOOSE as they ran in eight tries in a 52-7 Champions Cup win against Zebre today.

Pat Lam’s side led 14-0 in the first half when their task was made significantly easier by this moment of madness from Zebre hooker Oliviero Fabiani.

Fabiani tussled with Quinn Roux at the bottom of a ruck when one of the eagle-eyed officials spotted this bite.

After reviewing the TMO footage, referee Mathieu Raynal had no hesitation in showing Fabiani a red card, reporting that there was a “clear mark” on Roux’s arm.

Better start preparing for the disciplinary hearing, Oli.
