LEINSTER AND MUNSTER ensured they stayed within reach of the pacesetters in the Pro14 with comprehensive victories over the weekend, while Ulster were far less convincing at home to Treviso and Connacht slipped to defeat in Cardiff.
With Scarlets narrowly winning in South Africa, Leo Cullen’s Leinster got off to a slow start against Dragons but quickly warmed to the task to run eight tries past the hapless visitors at the RDS.
Leinster’s bonus-point win sees Ulster drop down to third in Conference B after they huffed and puffed before eventually seeing off Treviso at Kingspan Stadium thanks to Andrew Trimble’s 78th minute try.
In Conference A, Glasgow Warriors continue to set the standard as they hammered Ospreys to maintain their 100% record, while the Johann van Graan era got off to a winning start in Italy.
Connacht, meanwhile, were edged out by Cardiff and sit in fifth with three wins and six defeats from their nine games.
