THE REGULAR SEASON in the Guinness Pro12 will draw to a close this weekend after the penultimate round of games took place over the past few days.
Round 21 threw up victory and defeat in equal measure for the Irish provinces, with leaders Leinster kicking things off on Friday night with a narrow victory over Glasgow Warriors at the RDS.
Ulster’s hopes of reaching the last four were effectively ended on Saturday afternoon when they lost away to Ospreys. Munster then guaranteed themselves a home semi-final by getting the better of Treviso in Italy, before Pat Lam’s final home game in charge of Connacht culminated in a disappointing defeat to Scarlets.
