THE CLOCKS GOING back is a sure sign winter is upon us but if we needed any more of a reminder, you’ll find it when you tune into Match of the Day tonight.
From this afternoon, the Premier League will be using the high visibility ‘winter’ football in all matches – and they’ve changed the colour by choosing a vibrant yellow and orange scheme.

The ‘Nike Ordem 3′ is designed to stand out and is said to help players “catch sight of the ball quicker, facilitating rapid decision-making, instant reactions and, ultimately, enhanced performance.”
There’s no danger of players being unable to pick it up regardless of the conditions but it’s a bold move from Nike to veer away from the traditional yellow design.
