2 Premier League stars make top 5 in list of football's most valuable players*

The figures only take into account stars from Europe’s biggest five leagues.

HARRY KANE AND Eden Hazard are among the top five most valuable players in the world, according to the latest bi-annual list published by the Football Observatory.

Unsurprisingly, Lionel Messi takes top spot, though Cristiano Ronaldo is only fourth, behind Neymar and Hazard. Kane completes the top five, with Man City’s Raheem Sterling just behind him in sixth.

Antoine Griezmann, Luis Suarez, Sergio Aguero and Alexis Sanchez also make the top 10.

The study, which is based on an analysis of over 1,500 transfers conducted since 2010, takes into account footballers in England, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

Messi is valued at €250 million, while the top four are all understood to be worth in excess of €100 million.

As well as performance, age is heavily taken into consideration, which partially explains why Ronaldo — widely considered one of the world’s two best footballers currently — only places fourth.
