Right, I’d love nothing more than to promise you no talk of Ashley Cole, John Terry and #twatgate. Sadly, I can’t.
We’ve got four games to bring you updates from over the next two hours and, with Premier League leaders taking on 18th-placed Norwich, the English pair have been named in Roberto Di Matteo’s starting XI – meaning they will no doubt be featuring fairly prominently throughout.
All the team news will be along shortly.

Goals from Aleksandar Kolarov, Sergio Aguero and James Milner have given Man City a deserved win over Sunderland at the Etihad. Those three points puts the Citizens into second place – a point behind Chelsea with one game more played.
6 Oct 2012
2:57PM
That’s the teams. Irish involvement looks like this:
Starting: Shane Long (West Brom), Wes Hoolahan (Norwich), James McCarthy (Wigan), Seamus Coleman (Everton), Noel Hunt and Jay Tabb (Reading), McClean and O’Shea (Sunderland, already played).
On the bench: Anthony Pilkington (Norwich), Shane Duffy (Everton)
6 Oct 2012
3:02PM
Sides are out at the Bridge. Frank Lampard comes in for Ramires in the only change from the win over Arsenal. Chris Hughton’s side sees five changes from last weekend’s 5-2 defeat at the hands of Liverpool. It’s going to be another difficult day for the Canaries.
6 Oct 2012
3:05PM
Fernando Torres, hold your head in shame. The Spaniard beats the offside trap to collect a super pass from Lampard, but hesitates and cut backs inside – allowing Leon Barnett to get a toe in.
6 Oct 2012
3:07PM
GOAL! West Brom 1-0 QPR (James Morrison)
The Baggies are ahead with the first goal of the afternoon. Shane Long gets down the right-hand side, beating Clint Hill before crossing for Morrison to head past Julio Cesar.
Who else wants to see Long start alongside Jon Walters against Germany on Friday?
6 Oct 2012
3:12PM
GOAL! Wigan 1-0 Everton (Arouna Kone)
Shaun Maloney delivers for the Ivorian, whose headed goal is his third for the Latics.
6 Oct 2012
3:15PM
GOAL! Chelsea 0-1 Norwich (Grant Holt)
The visitors take a lead against the run of play and it’s their No.1 striker Holt, who smashes a knock-down into the bottom corner after Hoolahan’s cross to the back post.
6 Oct 2012
3:16PM
GOAL! Wigan 1-1 Everton (Nikica Jelavic)
Two minutes haven’t passed and Everton are level. Steven Pienaar tries his luck from distance and his effort is redirected on target by the head of Croatian international Nikica Jelavic.
6 Oct 2012
3:18PM
GOAL! Chelsea 1-1 Norwich (Fernando Torres)
The visitors are ahead for just four minutes as Chelsea equalise through El Nino. Lampard chips to Juan Mata, who tees up Branislav Ivanovic with a back-heel. His cross finds Torres and the Spaniard glances a head beyond John Ruddy.
6 Oct 2012
3:21PM
Ghanaian midfielder Alex Terry gets Hoolahan’s pass all wrong and heads towards the corner flag. It’s recycled but Petr Cech eventually collects after initially flapping at a high ball.
6 Oct 2012
3:23PM
GOAL! Chelsea 2-1 Norwich (Frank Lampard)
And they’re in front. Torres attempts an overhead kick which is blocked. When the ball falls to the edge of the box, Lampard arrives right on time to drill into the bottom corner. Third Premier League goal of the season for the 34-year-old.
Morrison looks to cross for Long but Anton Ferdinand clears… only as far as Hungarian international Gera, who doubles the home side’s lead at The Hawthorns.

Esteban Granero chips into Taarabt and the Moroccan takes the pass on the chest, then scores a brilliant volley.
Since then, Oscar has his strike from the edge of the box saved by Ruddy and Holt heads wide. We’re a minute from half-time.
6 Oct 2012
3:46PM
GOAL! Swansea 0-2 Reading (Noel Hunt)
Our first Irish scorer of the day. A shot is deflected into the air and Hunt keep his eye on the ball to volley past Vorm. The Swans don’t deserve to be 2-0 down but that’s football.
The second half has started. Huge ask for Norwich but they did show they can create against this Chelsea team and will need to score the next goal if they’re to leave London with anything other than defeat.
6 Oct 2012
4:05PM
As I type, the Canaries find joy again from wide. Bradley Johnson sends the ball in and Holt rises highest but heads wide. Promising start though.
6 Oct 2012

So Chelsea have no trouble seeing off Norwich and stay top of the table – four points ahead of second-placed Man City, who won 3-0 at home to Sunderland earlier today.
Everton come back twice to claim a point at the DW and stay third, while West Brom continue their terrific form under Steve Clarke and leapfrog Man United (who meet Newcastle United tomorrow) into fourth.
