Carroll to score against Liverpool and our 5 Premier League bets to consider this weekend

We’re also envisaging a win for Chelsea over Man City and Arsenal seeing off Aston Villa.

Chelsea to win to nil – 11/4

THE PREMIER LEAGUE champions face the club currently leading the title race on Saturday evening. Frank Lampard struck against his former side in a 1-1 draw at the Etihad back in September and it is sure to be another close encounter.

Only Southampton (16) have conceded less goals than Chelsea this season while Man City haven’t scored in their last two games as Sergio Aguero continues to regain full match fitness.

Treble: Sunderland v Burnley (11/5), West Brom v Tottenham (23/10) and Crystal Palace v Everton (9/4) all to draw

Having secured their place in the Capital One Cup final, Spurs may struggle to get themselves up for their away trip to face Tony Pulis’ resurgent Baggies, while we’re also backing Palace to take a point off Everton and the Black Cats to share the spoils with the Clarets.

Over 3.5 goals in Man United v Leicester – 13/8

These two produced one of the maddest games of the season with the Foxes winning out in an eight-goal thriller after United had taken a 3-1 lead. Louis van Gaal will be hell-bent on ensuring there isn’t a repeat of that result against the league’s bottom side at Old Trafford but there is a decent chance there will be plenty of goals again.

Andy Carroll to score first against Liverpool – 8/1

West Ham travel to Anfield on Saturday afternoon meaning the return of two Liverpool old boys. Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing were signed for combined fee of £55m before being picked up by the Hammers for less than half that figure.

26-year-old striker Carroll has started the last 13 games for Sam Allardyce’s side, scoring five goals along the way, and is in excellent form going into the meeting with his former club.

Arsenal to win -2 against Aston Villa – 2/1

There only looks to be one outcome at the Emirates on Sunday when Aston Villa attempt to end Arsenal’s seven-game winning streak.

Villa may have got the better of Championship side Bournemouth in the FA Cup last weekend, with new signing Carles Gil on the scoresheet, while Scott Sinclair could feature after arriving from Manchester City this week, but that is unlikely to prevent a convincing victory for the home side.
