Cech admits his error-ridden Premier League Arsenal debut was 'not in the script'

The 33-year-old was at the centre of the Gunners’ unexpected 2-0 defeat to West Ham.

PETR CECH HAS taken to social media to give an honest assessment of what proved a difficult top-flight Arsenal debut against West Ham.

The goalkeeper, who many have championed as the signing of the summer after his switch from Chelsea to the Emirates, was at fault for the Hammers’ opener and could have done better for their second goal too.

Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat has been lambasted by many, especially with the club tipped to go far in this season’s title race.

Cech owned up to his part in the loss and posted the following to his Twitter account.

The veteran will hope to right his wrongs in Arsenal’s next game – an away assignment against Crystal Palace in a week’s time.
