SALE SHARKS WILL have to plan without Peter Stringer for the foreseeable future after he sustained an injury while in Aviva Premiership action for the club on Saturday.
Steve Diamond, Sale’s Director of Rugby, confirmed today that Stringer tore his bicep tendon during their 34-34 draw with Worcester Warriors.
Stringer, who was facing former Munster team-mate Donncha O’Callaghan at Sixways, was replaced by Mike Phillips in the 57th minute.
“He snapped his bicep tendon on Saturday so he’s going to be out for two to three months,” Diamond told BBC Sport.
