Peter Hutton and Derry City have parted ways, the club announce

The Candystripes were dumped out of the cup last night.

PETER HUTTON HAS left his position as Derry City manager by mutual consent tonight.

The news comes less than 24 hours after the Candystripes’ FAI Ford Cup exit, after a comprehensive defeat on Leeside last night.

Paul Hegarty will take over for the rest of the season, the club say in a statement.

Hutton is a club legend at the Brandwell having represented the club over 600 times in competitive games.
