PETER CANAVAN IS set to join the management team at Fulham Irish, one of London’s top senior football clubs.
According to the club, the legendary former Tyrone forward is coming on board for the 2015 season, along with ex-Dublin senior hurling team performance analyst Jenny Coady.
As a manager, Canavan spent two seasons in charge of Fermanagh — 2012 and ’13. Last year he guided Cavan Gaels to the Cavan SFC title and he was also a selector for the Tyrone U21 side which recently won the All-Ireland.
As for what Canavan’s role with Fulham Irish will entail, the club says ‘those details need to be worked out’, but his appointment is sure to boost their prospects of winning the London SFC title later this year.
