MANCHESTER CITY MANAGER Pep Guardiola did not hold back when quizzed on the futures of both Joe Hart and Yaya Toure when quizzed at his Friday press conference.
The England number one goalkeeper has been dropped by the Catalan coach in favour of Willy Caballero while the Ivory Coast midfielder hasn’t featured this season at all.
When asked about Hart, Guardiola confirmed nothing had changed.

“If Joe stays, he will fight with other keepers and must convince me to play. That is the way it is.
The first thing I want (from keeper) is to save and then create good build up. Today, Willy is better. If Joe stays at Man City, I want to help him.”

Asked if Hart was free to leave City, Guardiola said ‘Of course. I want happiness for the players. I don’t want players to stay if they don’t want to stay.’
City are expected to complete the signing of Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo imminently.
Meanwhile, explaining his decision to keep Toure on the fringes, Guardiola again didn’t shirk his feelings on the matter.
“When he (Toure) increases his intensity without the ball, he will be involved.”
