A SUPERB INDIVIDUAL performance from Mayo’s Pearce Hanley inspired his Brisbane Lions side to victory over Gold Coast in the AFL this morning.
Brisbane produced a spirited second-half performance to come from behind to record their first win of the season, overcoming Gold Coast by 14.23 (107) to 14.10 (94) at the Gabba.

The Mayo man was named the man of the match after contributing 28 disposals and two goals, including a brilliant solo effort in the third quarter that spurred his team to victory.
Hanley left Mayo in 2007 for Australia and the 27-year-old has gone on to make over 100 appearances for Brisbane in the AFL.
