Paul Galvin has retired from inter-county GAA

The star won four All-Ireland titles over the course of his career.

KERRY STAR PAUL Galvin is retiring from GAA, it was confirmed tonight.

Manager Eamon Fitzmaurice broke the news at a press conference following his team’s defeat to Dublin in the National Football League this evening, while Galvin confirmed the news on Twitter.

A statement from Galvin on this news is expected shortly.

The 34-year-old won four All-Ireland senior football medals with Kerry in 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2009

He also won seven Munster senior football medals with Kerry and three National League honours.

On a personal level, Galvin’s performances were rewarded with Allstars in 2004, 2006 and 2009. He was also crowned Footballer of the Year in 2009.
