ST PATRICK’S ATHLETIC will aim to continue their excellent run of form tomorrow night when they welcome Bray Wanderers to Inchicore, and entry is free… as long as you’re suitably attired for the occasion.
According to a press release from the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division club, the Saints “would like to celebrate the glorious Irish summer by offering free entry to the match for anyone wearing a mankini or bikini”.

There’s one very important condition, however, so don’t go looking for any loopholes: “The mankini or bikini must be worn on its own, not over any clothing. Footwear is recommended, though.”
The press release reads: “The Saints will be aiming to repel the ‘Attack of the Seagulls’ as summer comes to Richmond Park tomorrow evening when St Patrick’s Athletic host Bray Wanderers in the SSE Airtricity League (kick-off 7.45pm). Seagulls are certainly getting a bad rap this summer. After attacks on swimmers, motorcyclists and sheep, some people are asking for a cull on the birds.
“Bray Wanderers, i.e. ‘the Seagulls’, swoop into Richmond Park having raided Limerick and Galway for points over recent weeks, and St Patrick’s Athletic are planning to put a stop to their recent run of form. As the seasiders are visiting Inchicore in the middle of August, St. Patrick’s Athletic would like to celebrate the glorious Irish summer by offering free entry to the match for anyone wearing a mankini or bikini.
“Customers who wish to avail of this special offer are advised that the weather forecast for Friday, August 14th is still unconfirmed! Also as a one-off special, an ice cream van will be stationed inside Richmond Park serving 99s and other treats. What better way to spend a pleasant summer evening outdoors than by watching top-tier football by the banks of the River Camac in Dublin 8?”
So there you have it. If you happen to be passing through Inchicore tomorrow night and you’ve got your mankini handy, pop into Richmond Park for some free live football and ice cream.
Get your bits out for the Pat's: Mankinis and bikinis go free at Richmond Park!
