THE NEW ENGLAND Patriots made it seven straight wins to start the NFL season with a 36-7 victory over the Miami Dolphins.

Tom Brady finished with 356 yards on the back of 26 of 38 passes completed in the comfortable win at Gillette Stadium on Thursday.

The quarterback threw four touchdown passes as the 7-0 Patriots moved further clear atop the AFC East.

Ryan Tannehill had 300 yards and two interceptions for the Dolphins, who are 3-4.

The Patriots took the opening kick-off and went 80 yards on eight plays to take a 7-0 lead on Rob Gronkowski’s 47-yard touchdown.

The key play on the drive was a 17-yard screen pass to Dion Lewis on third-and-16.

Lewis had 19 rushing yards and six catches for 93 yards, including an 18-yard gain after a devastating spin move to get away from Dolphins linebacker Koa Misi.

He also scored before half-time off a delayed release out of the backfield, left wide open by the Dolphins and untouched as he scooted into the end zone for the 16-yard touchdown to put New England up 19-0.

The Dolphins scored first in the second half on a one-yard run by Lamar Miller, who finished with 15 yards on nine carries and five catches for 19 yards.

New England responded with a 36-yard field goal by Stephen Gostkowski, his 26th straight made field goal to set a new Patriots team record.

Brady found Julian Edelman with two TD passes in the fourth quarter to add some gloss to the scoreboard.
