By that stage in 2007 O’Shea was double-jobbing having been appointed Kerry senior football boss. Under his stewardship Kerry lifted Sam Maguire in 2007 against Cork but missed out on the chance to retain it in 2008 when losing the decider to Tyrone.

O’Shea works for the Munster GAA Council as their Coaching & Games Manager for Football. In his playing career with Dr Crokes he won Kerry senior football medals in 1991 and 2000 while helping them to All-Ireland club glory in 1992.
Dr Crokes stitched together four successive Kerry senior football crowns between 2010 and 2013. They bowed out last year at the quarter-final stage against East Kerry rivals Rathmore.

Kerry All-Ireland winning boss returns to club management
KERRY’S 2007 ALL-Ireland winning boss Pat O’Shea is set for a return to club management.
O’Shea has been appointed to take charge of his native club Dr Crokes senior footballers for the 2016 season.
The club confirmed the appointment last night and it will mark O’Shea’s second spell in charge after previously being at the helm from 2004-2007.
