With eight games to go, PSG have won the French championship after superb nine-goal rout

Zlatan Ibrahimovic racked up four goals as the Parisians eased to a fourth-successive title.

WE’RE ONLY IN mid-March but the French championship already has its winner.

Runaway leaders Paris Saint-Germain needed a victory away to Troyes this afternoon to secure their fourth-successive title and they did it in style.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a nine-minute hat-trick and added his fourth late on.

Meanwhile, Edinson Cavani grabbed a brace, Javier Pastore and Adrien Rabiot were also on the mark and Matthieu Saunier put through his own net as PSG put up a 9-0 demolition.

After their midweek win over Chelsea in the Champions League, this was just another statement of intent from the club.

For Ibrahimovic, his haul brought him over the century mark for Ligue 1 goals.

Incredibly, he’s now managed 101 in just 115 French top-flight games.

The game was over after 19 minutes – PSG had already scored three by that stage before Zlatan stepped up in the second-half to take centre stage.

Laurent Blanc now has four championships to his name as manager having won with Bordeaux in 2009.

PSG are well placed for a clean sweep.

They’re n the semi-finals of the Cup and League Cup, having already won the Trophee des Champions last summer.
