The Tipperary defender suffered a head injury that yielded a fair bit of blood towards the end of the Premier county’s victory over the Banner in Ennis.
The incident occurred in the aftermath of Maher and Tipperary celebrating James Woodlock’s crucial second goal for their team but the defender didn’t look best pleased at referee Brian Gavin insisting he had to leave the field to get treated.
