FORMER IRELAND INTERNATIONAL Paddy Kenny will spend the rest of the season at Championship side Rotherham United.
The 37-year-old goalkeeper will link-up with manager Neil Warnock for the fifth time after working under him at Sheffield United, QPR, Leeds United and Bury.
Kenny has been without an employer since November after cancelling his own contract at Bury to save the club money following a training ground injury.
His move to the New York Stadium is subject to Football League and FA ratification.
โYoung Alex Cairns is a good โkeeper but I think that at this level you need a bit of experience at what is a critical time of the season,โ Warnock told the clubโs website.
โPaddy will give us that in abundance. Andy Dibble has been really pleased with Paddy; he has looked sharp and brings great experience at this level.โ
Former Northern Ireland international Lee Camp is also on the books at Rotherham, who are currently five points adrift of safety in the Championship.

Good to see talent being used intelligently between the provinces.
We only have four professional senior teams and need to build on what we have before going outside. Thatโs not trying to be myopic as we have benefitted greatly from our overseas players and will hope continue to do so when needed.
@Con Cussed: Covid sorta made it their only option
@rugbyanbeer: One of the few positive things from COVID-19.
@Con Cussed: 110% agree with you .
Chris Farrell has had so little game time I think he should have been released also.
Good to get cover in at 9 for the next few weeks. Itโs looking likely that Casey will be called up to the Irish squad over the next few weeks
@Patrick O Connell: Should definitely get a call up. Highly touted youngster who has done well this season. If you think lack of senior experience is an issue, capping James Ryan before he had played a senior club game (bar an โAโ appearance for Munster) didnt turn out too poorly!
@running man ; Next Friday the 13th of November kicks off the Autumn Internationals. Welcome to rugby.
What Ireland duty is Murray now on?
