ST PAT’S PICKED up all three points against Finn Harps last night but the Saints needed a helping hand (or helping face, to be precise) to break the deadlock.
Harps defender Packie Mailey was caught completely off guard and turned this Conan Byrne corner into his own net, setting Pat’s on the road to a 2-1 win.
The flight of Byrne’s corner deceived keeper Richard Brush, who missed the ball completely, and Mailey had no time to get out of the way before it ricocheted off his face and into the empty net.
