OWEN RODDY WAS one of the many men who played a role in Conor McGregor’s successful revenge mission against Nate Diaz last weekend.
Roddy, McGregor’s striking coach and the head coach at Straight Blast Gym in Charlestown, filmed some very interesting video blogs over the last few weeks in Las Vegas in the build-up to UFC 202.
His latest offering is particularly fascinating, as Roddy reveals some intriguing behind-the-scenes footage from Saturday night’s event at the T-Mobile Arena, where McGregor defeated Diaz via majority decision.
Among the highlights of the video — which you can see above — are McGregor receiving his pre-fight instructions in his changing room from referee John McCarthy and his walk-out before the bout.
If you look closely, you’ll also get a glimpse (at 0:48) of an altercation between bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and Cody Garbrandt as the rising contender arrives at the arena.
