Those were the key outcomes from a busy programme of games today in the Post-Primary GAA schools scene.
Our Lady’s Templemore saw off Gort CS in Kilmallock by 1-18 to 0-14 as the Tipperary school bounced back from their Dr Harty Cup final loss.
After the opening quarter, Our Lady’s were in front 1-5 to 0-4 with Anthony Ryan netting for them. By the interval the accuracy of Jamie Bergin had helped them into a 1-11 to 0-8 advantage.

Gort grabbed early second-half points but Our Lady’s upped the ante once more as Brian McGrath nailed some long-range frees.
They were ahead 1-16 to 0-11 after the third quarter and despite being reduced to 14 men, they held on for a seven-point success and a place in next Saturday’s semi-final against Leinster winners St Kieran’s.
Meanwhile Summerhill College claimed the Connacht senior A football title against Sligo rivals St Attracta’s by 1-12 to 0-13.
Man-of-the-match Cathal Herron struck an early goal to help Summerhill College go in front. They were ahead 1-5 to 0-4 by the 20th minute but St Attracta’s cut the deficit to the minimum at the interval, 1-6 to 0-8.
Summerhill College stayed ahead throughout the second-half and ran out two-point victors.
