POM undergoing return-to-play protocols, with TOD back in Munster training

Fullback Simon Zebo suffered a dead leg against Glasgow last weekend.

PETER O’MAHONY IS following the return-to-play protocols this week after suffering a concussion during Munster’s Champions Cup win over Glasgow.

With the southern province set to face Racing 92 at Thomond Park this Saturday, captain O’Mahony does have time to complete his protocols if there are no setbacks with his recovery from the head injury.

Meanwhile, openside flanker Tommy O’Donnell is expected to return to training this week after missing the victory against Glasgow due to an ankle injury.

O’Donnell suffered the ankle damage in the away clash against Racing two weekends ago, having previously had issues with his other ankle. The Tipp man is now set to make his comeback on the training pitch this week.

Fullback Simon Zebo suffered a dead leg against Glasgow last weekend, but Munster say he is also expected to train this week.

Munster are looking to secure a home quarter-final in the Champions Cup with a win over Racing this weekend, having confirmed their spot in the knockout stages in Glasgow last Saturday.

A statement from the province also states that promising Munster A wing Calvin Nash sustained a neck injury last weekend and will be monitored by their medical team this week.
