Since then, he’s been keeping busy by coaching youth teams in Kristiansund – his home town.
Molde, the reigning Norwegian champions, have been without a permanent coach since August, when Tor Ole Skullerud was replaced by interim boss Erling Moe but the club has endured a miserable time domestically. They sit seventh in the Norwegian Tippeligaen with the season almost finished.

They’ve already racked up an impressive 3-1 victory in Turkey against Fenerbahce and drew 1-1 with Ajax last time out.
So, there’s much to build on for Solskjaer who will face his compatriot, Ronny Deila on Thursday.
