French club remembers victims of Nice attack with special jerseys

The commemorative shirts will be worn for the opening weekend of Ligue 1.

FRANCE’S TOP FLIGHT Ligue 1 gets going this weekend with OGC Nice at home to Rennes on Sunday.

It is sure to be an emotional day for Les Aiglons, who finished fourth last season under new Southampton boss Claude Puel.

The city was rocked by tragic events last month when 85 people were killed and 307 were left injured by a truck which was driven into crowds watching a firework display for Bastille Day.

To remember those victims, Nice will wear special shirts featuring a heart containing the 85 names.
