OFFALY SURVIVED A big scare from Westmeath to book their place in the Leinster SHC semi-final.
The Faithful County will take on the winners of Galway and Dublin for a place in the provincial decider on 18 June.
Offaly hit 3-11 in the second half as Shane Dooley finishing with a crucial hat-trick to help them advance.

Killian Doyle bagged a late goal to draw Westmeath level late on but Dooley’s third goal sealed the win for Offaly.
Dooley’s opening goal from a penalty gave Offaly a 1-1 to 0-2 advantage inside seven minutes.
Westmeath’s response was outstanding and they led by 0-12 to 1-4 at the interval after fine scores from Allan Devine, Niall O’Brien, Darragh Egerton and Joe Boyle.
Doyle and Devine were influential as the Lake County moved into in front by 0-18 to 1-13, but Offaly turned the game on its head with two goals in the space of three minutes.
Offaly’s Emmet Nolan and Shane Dooley hit the back of the net down the stretch either side of Doyle’s three-pointer for Westmeath.
