JUST FOUR MONTHS after he was diagnosed with testicular cancer, Tipperary’s Noel McGrath was brought on as a substitute as his side battled Galway for a place in the All-Ireland hurling final.
The 24-year old brought Croke Park to its collective feet as he made his way onto the pitch:
And it looked like he might be the hero when, with 30 seconds to go, his point put Tipperary one point up:

However, Galway would hit back with two points of their own to deny McGrath the fairytale return.
