Nick Watney somehow managed to save par from behind a toilet

The American found himself behind the on-course potties after a wayward second shot.

CREATIVITY IS AN underrated trait in golf.

So often, the slightest mistake will see you needing to create an elaborate escape to avoid dropped shots, and this afternoon American Nick Watney gave us the prefect example, rescuing a par from a situation that would look more at home in Happy Gilmore of Tin Cup.

After his second shot to the par 4 third hole went way too long during today’s second round of the Quicken Loans National, Watney found his ball in a wee bit of trouble, trapped behind a bunch of portable toilets at the back of the green.

Undeterred, Watney took out a wedge, and played a delicate flop shot over the toilets and the large trees, flushing it to within around four feet, which he dropped for par, and an incredible up and down.
