As it happened: NFL Sunday hangout

Just win baby!

Hello and welcome to week four of the NFL where London played host to the first of three games this season. We’ were there right through to the end of Sunday’s second set of games — after that, you were on your own! As always, we’d love to hear from you. Get in touch in the usual ways, email sport@thescore.ie, tweet @thescore_ie, check us out on Facebook or use the comment section below. Hello and welcome to this week’s NFL Hangout. With TheScore.ie‘s resident Raiders fan in charge, today’s hangout may be a little biased towards what’s happening in Wembley until they inevitably go 20 points down.

Here are today’s early games:

Carolina Panthers @ Baltimore Ravens
Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears
Buffalo Bills @ Houston Texans
Tennessee Titans @ Indianapolis Colts
Detroit Lions @ New York Jets
Miami Dolphins @ Oakland Raiders
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Pittsburgh Steelers

And the late games:

Jacksonville Jaguars @ San Diego Chargers
Atlanta Falcons @ Minnesota Vikings
Philadelphia Eagles @ San Francisco 49ers

While the late, late game is:

New Orleans Saints @ Dallas Cowboys

Poor start to game from the Steelers offensive line:

Steve Smith has a point to prove against his old team:

This is the best catch we’ve seen today:

Here are the scores as things stand approaching half-time in the early games:

Carolina Panthers 7 @ Baltimore Ravens 21
Green Bay Packers 21 @ Chicago Bears 17
Buffalo Bills 10 @ Houston Texans 0
Tennessee Titans 3 @ Indianapolis Colts 17
Detroit Lions 17 @ New York Jets 3
Miami Dolphins 24 @ Oakland Raiders 7
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10 @ Pittsburgh Steelers 17

Interesting play from the Bears game!

Not bad considering both teams are very far from home:

Weekly JJ Watt is great at this football lark update:

Will Slattery is stepping in momentarily for Steve. What have people made of the action so far?

There has already been a couple of stats to come from the day’s action.

Here are the scores from the early games at the moment:

Carolina Panthers 10 @ Baltimore Ravens 28
Green Bay Packers 31 @ Chicago Bears 17
Buffalo Bills 10 @ Houston Texans 14
Tennessee Titans 10 @ Indianapolis Colts 27
Detroit Lions 17 @ New York Jets 10
Miami Dolphins 38 @ Oakland Raiders 7
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 17 @ Pittsburgh Steelers 17

So, Matt McGloin and the Raiders aren’t very good….

Andrew Luck may have a grotesque neckbeard but he can play quarterback very, very well.

Antonio Brown just entered the record books.

Fake John Madden is sticking the knife into Raiders fans tonight.

Steve Smith scored this assisted touchdown for the Ravens against his old team the Panthers earlier.

It looked like Riverboat Ron and the Panthers had carried last year’s momentum into this season early on, but they have been dreadful the last few weeks.

Aaron Rodgers is having a great game for the Packers tonight and he exhibited the 5 D’s of dodgeball when throwing this touchdown.

We are into the fourth quarter of all the early games and here are the scores:

Carolina Panthers 10 @ Baltimore Ravens 38
Green Bay Packers 38 @ Chicago Bears 17
Buffalo Bills 10 @ Houston Texans 17
Tennessee Titans 17 @ Indianapolis Colts 41
Detroit Lions 24 @ New York Jets 17
Miami Dolphins 38 @ Oakland Raiders 14
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 20 @ Pittsburgh Steelers 24

Aaron Rodgers had a very efficient day against the Bears.

That Packers-Bears game had no punts! Crazy stuff.

Anyone who plays fantasy football will relate to this tweet…

I mentioned how well Andrew Luck was playing earlier, and now he has surpassed any start Peyton Manning ever made for the Colts.

Here are the full-time scores from the early games:

Carolina Panthers 10 @ Baltimore Ravens 38
Green Bay Packers 38 @ Chicago Bears 17
Buffalo Bills 17 @ Houston Texans 23
Tennessee Titans 17 @ Indianapolis Colts 41
Detroit Lions 24 @ New York Jets 17
Miami Dolphins 38 @ Oakland Raiders 14
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27 @ Pittsburgh Steelers 24

There are three late games tonight, and here are the scores:

Philadelphia 7 @ San Francisco 3

Minnesota 14 @ Atlanta 7

Jacksonville 14 @ San Diego 10

It looks like New York Jets QB Geno Smith was a bad boy earlier.

Teddy Bridgewater is having a good debut for the Minnesota Vikings tonight.

The 49ers have taken the lead against the Eagles after this ridiculous touchdown from Frank Gore. It was a risky throw by Kaepernick but it paid off handsomely.

Eddie Royal has just scored a monster touchdown to put the Chargers ahead against the Jags.

Darren Sproles has just returned this punt for a touchdown to give the Eagles a 21-10 lead over the 49ers.

We are moments away from half-time in all three games and here are the scores:

Philadelphia 21@ San Francisco 13

Minnesota 24 @ Atlanta 14

Jacksonville 14 @ San Diego 24

The Philip Rivers renaissance is continuing into its second year.

Vikings rookie QB Teddy Bridgewater scampered home for his first ever NFL rushing touchdown earlier.

This is pretty rotten from Atlanta head coach Mike Smith.

What. A. Catch:

This is how one of my fantasy teams looks right now. The first week I decide to drop Frank Gore, he decides to turn up: I’m winning by 30 points but my opponent still has Dez Bryant and Jimmy Graham to come so I expect to lose (it’s PPR):

And you thought your team had problems:

And that’s it from us. Thanks as always for joining us. Here are the final scores of Sunday evening’s games:

Carolina Panthers 10 @ Baltimore Ravens 38
Green Bay Packers 38 @ Chicago Bears 17
Buffalo Bills 17 @ Houston Texans 23
Tennessee Titans 17 @ Indianapolis Colts 41
Detroit Lions 24 @ New York Jets 17
Miami Dolphins 38 @ Oakland Raiders 14
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27 @ Pittsburgh Steelers 24
Jacksonville Jaguars 14 @ San Diego Chargers 33
Atlanta Falcons 28 @ Minnesota Vikings 41
Philadelphia Eagles 21 @ San Francisco 49ers 26
