WASHINGTON HUSKIES WIDE receiver John Ross officially broke Chris Johnson’s 40-yard-dash record earlier at the NFL Scouting Combine with a time of 4.22 seconds.
Arizona Cardinals running back Johnson set the previous 4.24 seconds record in 2008 at the combine’s maiden event, and that mark has stood since.

Ross produced a blistering run to smash the record, following several players coming close in recent years.
“I feel good. I feel like I could have ran faster, just because I cramped up toward the end,” Ross said after his run.
“I’m thankful. It was a good time.”
The record breaker did not run a second 40-yard dash and pulled out of the remaining drills afterwards.

He wins an island for breaking the record if he was wearing addidas gear.
