LIVERPOOL CAPTAIN JORDAN Henderson was joined this afternoon by Philippe Coutinho, Simon Mignolet and Jon Flanagan, as well as Academy graduate Connor Randall and Liverpool Ladies duo Gemma Bonner and Natasha Harding, to launch the club’s new home kit for the 2016/17 season.
According to the club, the New Balance kit features “eye-catching flashes of amber yellow… designed for easy identification at rapid speed” — just in case one of the players is rendered incognito by the bright red shirt, shorts and socks.
The inner hem of the shirt — which features “gradiated mesh to allow for increased air movement around the body, a tipped short stand button polo collar and is completely seam-free for greater comfort and reduced friction” — also includes the quote: ‘There’s no noise like the Anfield noise’.
Manager Jürgen Klopp (or someone in the club’s marketing department speaking on his behalf, most likely) said: “This team has the winning mentality and now, with this spectacular new home kit every player will look the part lighting up Anfield.”
Yep, that definitely sounds like Jürgen Klopp alright.
Anyway, it’s not a bad looking garment and it’s on sale now from official club stores and online.

Would have helped Argentina if they put the best team on the pitch!! They left two of Europe’s best strikers in 2017/8 season off the starting line up….bizarre
@BMJF: and left another one at home.
@BMJF: 100+ goals in 17/18 on the bench or at home
“unimpressed with the coaches tactics”? Sure was it not Messi picking the team
@Jim: do you use the Messi pic to try to make your comments look balanced?
He is definitely at fault too but no Messi was not picking the team unless you believe everything the tabloids say
Excuses excuses most of the players play for top clubs in europe dybala augero huigian Di Maria all top players for their clubs
@Jim: do you realise none of those players started yesterday barring Di Maria who was absolutely terrible all tournament barring the goal out of nowhere?
Maradona had Messi and a decent squad in 2010. How’d that go?
