New dates confirmed for Derry fixtures postponed following Ryan McBride's death
The Candystripes’ games against Limerick and Galway United have been rescheduled.
THE FAI HAVE confirmed rescheduled dates for the two Derry City fixtures which were postponed after the sudden death of captain Ryan McBride on 19 March.
The Candystripes were due to host Limerick at Maginn Park before travelling to face Galway United in the week that followed McBride’s untimely passing, but both fixtures were subsequently called off.
The meeting with Limerick — which was originally abandoned due to floodlight failure on 3 March — will now take place at Derry’s temporary home in Buncrana on Tuesday, 25 April. The game against Galway United will be played at Eamonn Deacy Park on Monday, 8 May. Both fixtures will kick-off at 7.45pm.
Derry will play their first game since the loss of Ryan McBride tomorrow night, when they’ll be aiming to maintain their 100% start to the season at home to Bray Wanderers.
