Remember Nacho Novo? Well, he's inching closer to a big move to Belfast

The Spaniard won three league titles in during his eight-year spell with Rangers.

FORMER RANGERS STRIKER Nacho Novo could be announced as a Glentoran player as early as today.

The 37-year-old Spaniard, won three league titles and a Scottish Cup across the eight years he was at Ibrox, is expected to sign a one-year deal with the Belfast club.

Novo enjoyed a superb career in Scotland, excelling for both Raith Rovers and Dundee before signing for the Gers in 2004.

He scored 19 league goals in his debut campaign to finish the season as a league champion but never quite hit the same mark after that.

He moved back to Spain in 2010 but struggled with Sporting Gijon for two seasons.

He’s bounced around a number of clubs since but seemed to rediscover some form while with the Carolina Railhawks of the North American Soccer League but left the club earlier this year.
