Nacewa and Gibson-Park to rejoin Leinster squad in South Africa after sorting visa problems

The pair will be available for next week’s game against the Toyota Cheetahs.

LEINSTER DUO ISA Nacewa and Jamison Gibson-Park will rejoin their team-mates in South Africa this weekend after resolving their visa issues.

The pair were left stranded in Johannesburg airport earlier this week and then forced to return to Dublin after it emerged that they did not have the documentation necessary for New Zealanders to enter the country.

The paperwork headache means that both players will miss tomorrow afternoon’s Pro14 game, when Leinster take on the Southern Kings in Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium (1pm Irish time).

But the province confirmed today that both players successfully applied for visas from the South African embassy on their return to Dublin, and will rejoin the squad on Sunday.

Leinster travel to Cape Town next week for the second leg of their South African mini-tour when they will take on Toyota Cheetahs on Friday evening.
