It was a busy day of club action.

IT WAS THE last Sunday in November and it was an action packed day with three big finals in Munster, Ulster and in ladies football but there was plenty more club action around the country to keep an eye on too.

Ulster IFC final – Warrenpoint 0-1 – Inniskeen 0-0 – 2 mins

We have the first score of the afternoon as Donagh McAleenan gives the Down team an early lead in the Ulster club IFC final.

Ulster IFC final – Warrenpoint 0-3 Inniskeen 0-0 – 7 mins

It’s all Warrenpoint in the early stages in the Athletic Grounds and their lead is now 0-3 with Aaron Magee and Ross McGarry both waving white flags.

Here are the Austin Stacks fans making their way to the Munster club SFC final:

Ulster IFC final – Warrenpoint 0-5 Inniskeen 1-1 – 17 mins

There’s been plenty of action in the Athletic Grounds since we last checked in with Paul Meegan scoring 1-1 for Inniskeen to put them briefly ahead before two more points from Ross McGarry puts Warrenpoint back in the lead.

Ulster IFC final – Warrenpoint 0-8 Inniskeen 1-3 – 26 mins

Approaching half-time in Armagh and it’s Down side Warrenpoint with a two point lead, scores from Ross McGarry and Paul Meegan keeping them ahead.

They’re playing the anthem in Páirc Uí Chaoimh and the Munster final is about to get under way.

Munster SFC final – The Nire 0-1 Austin Stacks 0-0  – 2 mins

Michael O’Gorman gets the first score of the day in Páirc Uí Chaoimh though it could well have been a goal.

GOAL! – Munster SFC final – The Nire 1-2  Austin Stacks 0-0 – 4 mins

The Nire have their goal and it’s Shane Ryan with the brilliant finish. The Waterford side have a five point lead after the opening four minutes.

All-Ireland ladies SFC final – Mourneabbey 0-3 Termon 0-0 – 3 mins

The early advantage in Tuam is going to the Cork side with Brid O’Sullivan, Roberta Harrington and Laura Fitzgerald putting them three points clear.

Munster SFC final – The Nire 1-3  Austin Stacks 0-0 – 7 mins

I’m not sure of the exact possession stats but if The Nire are less than 90% I’ll be stunned. If Stacks don’t wake up soon this game could be over before the half-time.

Conor Gleeson with The Nire’s latest point.

GOAL! – Munster SFC final – The Nire 1-2  Austin Stacks 1-0 – 8 mins

And out of nowhere, Shane Callaghan finds the back of the net for the Kerry champions and we have ourselves a game. It looked like the forward was going to win a penalty but Callaghan did well to finish from close range.

Game on.

Sharon McLoughlin and Maureen O’Donnell bring Donegal side Termon back within a point.

RED CARD! Munster SFC final – The Nire 1-4  Austin Stacks 1-0 – 15 mins

It’s a second yellow card for Shane Carroll and Stacks are down to 14 men. Everything that could go wrong for the Kerry champions is going wrong so far.

GOAL! – Munster SFC final – The Nire 1-4  Austin Stacks 2-1 – 19 mins

Well that’s an early Christmas present for Stacks as David Mannix takes advantage of a terrible mistake from The Nire’s goalkeeper Tom Wall – very reminiscent of Paul Durcan and Kieran Donaghy in the All-Ireland final – to slot home Stacks’ second goal.

It’s a level game.

All-Ireland ladies SFC final – Mourneabbey 0-7 Termon 1-2  – 22 mins

Laura Fitzgerald with here third point of the day and Cork side Mourneabbey lead by two.

Munster SFC final – The Nire 1-4  Austin Stacks 2-1 – 24 mins

Shane Ryan stands over another free and The Nire captain misses his first place ball of the day.

Laura Fitzgerald finally stops the rot for Mourneabbey with a much needed point.

Munster SFC final – Austin Stacks 3-4 The Nire 2-4 – 55 mins

More than ten minutes now since the last score in what has been a very poor quality game in near perfect conditions. Very hard to tell at the moment which team is down to 14 men.

All-Ireland ladies SFC final – Termon 2-10 Mourneabbey 0-12 – 50 mins

After Geraldine McLaughlin points again, Termon full-back Emer Gallagher picks up a yellow card and the Donegal champs are down to 14. The last ten minutes will be interesting.

And just as I type that, they’re back within a point, Katie Healy grabbing the goal for the Cork side.

Full-time -

All-Ireland ladies SFC final – Termon 3-12 Mourneabbey 1-13

GOAL! – Ulster SFC final - Slaughtneil 1-0 Omagh 0-0 – 1 min

Well that escalated quickly! Cormac O’Doherty raises the green flag for Slaughtneil with the very first attack of the game.

Ulster SFC final - Slaughtneil 1-0 Omagh 0-1 – 4 mins

Connor O’Donnell taps over a point for Omagh but – with a two-on-one – perhaps the Tyrone side could have leveled things up.

Ulster SFC final - Slaughtneil 1-1 Omagh 0-1 – 6 mins

Christopher Bradley makes it a three point game once more with a fine point.

Ulster SFC final - Slaughtneil 1-1 Omagh 0-2 – 8 mins

Ulster SFC final - Slaughtneil 1-2 Omagh 0-4 – 22 mins

Ulster SFC final - Slaughtneil 1-2 Omagh 0-5 – 25 mins

And the sides are level. Joe McMahon surges forward for the equaliser.

GOAL! – Ulster SFC final – Omagh 1-5 Slaughtneil 1-2 – 27 mins

What a great goal from Barry Tierney who finishes coolly after great work from Omagh midfielder Conan Grugan in the build up. The Tyrone champions now have a deserved three point lead.

Half-time -

Ulster SFC final – Omagh 1-5 Slaughtneil 1-2

And there’s the short whistle. Omagh are well on top now having gone behind to that early Slaughtneil goal. The Derry champions have it all to do in the second half.

Ulster SFC final – Omagh 1-5 Slaughtneil 1-2

The second half will get under way whenever Slaughtneil decide to leave the dressing room.

And after all that, Slaughneil give away a needless free which Ronan O’Neill slots over to double Omagh’s lead.

Two quick points from Slaughtneil from Paddy and Christopher Bradley scoring back to back.

With ten minutes to play, the Derry champions have retaken the lead, this time it’s Christopher Bradley with his third point of the afternoon.

A wonderful point from Christopher Bradley has restored Slaughtneil’s lead. There are just seconds left in the Ulster club final.

Full-time -

Ulster SFC final – Slaughtneil 1-10 Omagh 1-9

Superb bottle shown by Christopher Bradley and Slaughtneil to win this one at the death. It’s a first senior provincial crown for the Derry side in their very first final.

For their part, Omagh will be disappointed with their second half performance, especially some kickable scores that drifted wide.

Right, that’s it for me. Thanks as always for joining us. You’ll find reports – as always – from all today’s big games here.
