THE EPCR HAVE today confirmed that Munster’s postponed Champions Cup clash away to Racing Metro will be played on Saturday 7 January at 15.45 (Irish time).
The round one meeting between Ronan O’Gara’s current and former club was called off on Sunday 16 October after Anthony Foley had been found dead in Munster’s team hotel in Paris.

The southern province quickly shrugged off the suggestion that they would postpone the following week’s meeting with Glasgow Warriors and ran out 38 – 17 winners on a day of heightened emotions at Thomond Park.
The new date for the fixture puts it a week before Munster’s Champions Cup visit to Glasgow and after a New Year’s Eve inter-pro clash with Connacht at the Sportsground.
Munster had originally been due to play a Guinness Pro12 match away to Edinburgh on 7 January, but the league has now postponed the fixture with a slot to be confirmed in the coming months.
