MUNSTER ARE WAITING to see how key men Conor Murray, Mike Sherry, Francis Saili and Donnacha Ryan came through today’s training session in Limerick as they prepare for Saturday’s huge Champions Cup clash with Leicester.

The Tigers visit Thomond Park on Saturday evening and Munster head coach Anthony Foley must wait to learn if Murray, Ryan, Sherry and Saili will be fit to play.

Saili has been struggling with a calf injury recently and was limited to “rehab running” during today’s session at the University of Limerick. The New Zealand-capped centre did not train with the rest of Foley’s squad.
Murray (bruised foot), Sherry (knee) and Ryan (ribs) took a full part in training after their own recent injuries, although Foley must wait until physical tests on all three tomorrow to learn whether or not they suffered any ill effects on their return to the pitch.
Ireland international Murray hasn’t played since the Champions Cup win over Treviso on 14 November, meaning Foley will be anxious to send his playmaker back into action against an in-form Leicester side.
While Murray took part, back-up nine Tomás O’Leary missed training in UL due to a back spasm.
Andrew Conway and Jack O’Donoghue look set to be fit after returning from illness to take a full part in today’s session, while BJ Botha was also involved fully after coming through the return-to-play concussion protocols.

Tommy O’Donnell continued his comeback from a hip injury suffered with Ireland during the World Cup warm-ups as he completed some on-pitch rehab today, while Johnny Holland (hamstring) and Peter McCabe (pectoral) both advanced to “modified training.”
Peter O’Mahony (knee), Stephen Archer (neck), and Duncan Casey (pec), remain in rehab after surgery.
