Tighthead prop Mario Sagario started all four of the minnows’ games in the tournament, and after holding his strong performance at the scrum against England in the final game, he’s been given the opportunity to impress for Munster.
51-cap Uruguayan prop Sagario has been training with the province this week, as Munster explore their front row options. The 29-year-old last played for French ProD2 side Massy.
With Stephen Archer set for an extended spell on the sidelines due to neck surgery, and BJ Botha’s contract due to expire at the end of December, Anthony Foley’s side are looking for reinforcements at tighthead ahead of the submission of their European squad for the season.

However, Foley hinted that he may look to try secure the South African’s services until the end of the season, and because of non-Irish qualified rules, Botha’s contractual situation may have a big say on whether or not the province sign Sagario to a deal.
