Good news on the injury front for Munster's Dave Kilcoyne and JJ Hanrahan

Duncan Casey and Sam Arnold will also return to full training this week for the southern province.

DAVE KILCOYNE CAN breathe a sigh of relief after Munster confirmed today that his knee injury isn’t as serious as was initially feared.

Kilcoyne missed Saturday’s Guinness Pro14 win against the Ospreys after damaging his knee while making his 100th appearance for the southern province in the victory over the Cheetahs seven days earlier.

While no specific timeframe was given for the 28-year-old prop’s return, Munster say a scan yielded a positive outcome for Kilcoyne, who’ll continue to be monitored by their medical team.

Elsewhere, JJ Hanrahan is getting closer to making his first Munster appearance since his return to the province from Northampton Saints.

The 25-year-old utility back, who’s been carrying a shoulder injury, will resume full training this week, as will hooker Duncan Casey (groin) and centre Sam Arnold (calf).

Munster will take on Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun on Friday night.
