Munster unveil new navy and yellow alternate kit for the 2016/17 season

‘This jersey marks a new beginning for the team,’ says Chief Executive Garrett Fitzgerald.

AFTER WEARING BLACK last season, Munster have returned to their more traditional alternate navy kit for the 2016/17 season.

The adidas kit has a striking yellow trim and is produced in a ‘Pasmo Delta’ fabric, according to those who design kits for a living.

It also celebrates the significance of the Munster stag, an animal which in Irish folklore is always portrayed as defending its own territory.

Munster Rugby Chief Executive Garrett Fitzgerald says the jersey marks ‘a new beginning’ for the team with Rassie Erasmus hoping to revive the fortunes of the southern province.

Munster will wear the new jersey for the first time in August during the team’s pre-season campaign and it will go on sale on 27 July.

What do you make of the kit?
