Coleman to cut the mustard at Bayern and all today's transfer news

Charlie Austin to Manchester United anyone?

Danteโ€™s inferno: 31-year-old Bayern Munich defender Dante has agreed to sign for Wolfsburg according to The Guardian. The news will disappoint Leicester City fans who had hoped to nab the Brazilian as he sought a move away from the German champions.

Coman and going: Arsenal and Liverpool have both missed out on a deal for Kingsley Coman. The 19-year-old Juventus starlet was linked to both clubs at the start of the summer but he has joined Bayern Munich on a two-year loan deal instead.

Jelavic of a dealSky Sources (!) say West Ham have agreed a deal to sign Nikica Jelavic from Hull. Thereโ€™s no price on the deal as yet but, with a goal every third game last season, you have to think the Hammers will be happy to see him chip in this season.

Borini off: Those same Sky Sources also read the Liverpool Echo report that claims Sunderland have agreed a deal worth about ยฃ10 million to bring the unwanted Fabio Borini back on a permanent deal.

To the Spurs goes the Victor?Southamptonโ€™s Ronald Koeman says Victor Wanyama is risking his future if he decides that Tottenham is a better fit for his talents than St. Maryโ€™s. The Kenyan still hopes to push through a move to London in the next 24 hours, however.

Austin powers his way to UnitedDespite Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal saying the club would not do any desperate transfer business, the Daily Express is among a number of media outlets reporting that Charlie Austin is on his way to Old Trafford. They missed out on Mรผller and Neymarโ€ฆ what about the QPR man?

Cutting the mustardBayern Munich have joined the race to sign Everton defender Seamus Coleman according to the Star on Sunday. The Ireland full back is also wanted by PSG but looks more than likely to stay on Merseyside.

What an absolute legend this man is! Good on ya Drico, that you werenโ€™t born in Limerick or Cork is all I ever disliked about ya!

A great player no doubt and a great ambassador for the game. is he past his prime, in my opinion yes. He is. Ronan, do you think thatโ€™s valid? would you rather not have an opinion and merely comment on the opinions of others. A wholeโ€ฆโ€ฆ.

I agree he had a good game against Edinburgh. He may not have the pace of when he was younger โ€“ but his try against Treviso showed he reads a game like no one else. It has been a privilege to be able to watch him over the years.

The headline does not in any way reflect what Oโ€™Driscoll actually said, have just listened to the interview on Newstalk!

First few lines say that BOD has โ€œgiven his strongest indications yet that he would love to stick around for another crack at World Cup success.โ€, but further down the man himself says: โ€œWeโ€™ll deal with the November Series first and, hopefully if Iโ€™m still in the mix, the Six Nations next year. After that is still too far away to be considering.โ€

Any chance you could reconcile that a bit Patrick, because itโ€™s fairly misleading I think?

โ€œBrian Oโ€™Driscoll rules out retirement and targets World Cup success.โ€ What does success mean, daddy? Well, son, it means: 1. Qualifying. 2. Not losing to Georgia. 3. Beating England. 4. Going out at 1/4 final stage but taking heart from the fact that we have โ€œlearned a lot from this experienceโ€ and being on a โ€œsteep learning curve.โ€ But does success not mean winning, daddy? Ah no, son. Only if youโ€™re from New Zealand.
