Colts out of Luck as Jets continue to soar

Andrew Luck played his second successive terrible game for the pre-season favourites.

LAST SEASON THE New York Jets — famed for their defensive prowess under Rex Ryan — managed just 13 combined fumble recoveries and interceptions. This season, they already have ten through just two games.

Indeed the Jets — led by Darrelle Revis — forced Colts’ quarterback Andrew Luck into three interceptions and recovered two further fumbles, one by Luck and one by running back Frank Gore, in a comfortable 20-7 win on Monday Night Football.

That puts the Jets at 2-0 for the season, tied at the top of the AFC East with the New England Patriots.

The Colts — who came into the season as one of the SuperBowl favourites — have now lost their first two games.
