MONAGHAN SENIOR FOOTBALL manager Malachy O’Rourke has named an unchanged team for Sunday afternoon’s Ulster quarter-final against Cavan at Kingspan Breffni Park (2pm).
However, O’Rourke has sprung a surprise by including Darren Hughes on the bench. The midfielder was due to be sidelined for approximately three months after sustaining a knee injury in a club game in April, but he could now be in line to return this weekend.
It’s the same starting line-up for Monaghan that defeated Fermanagh in the preliminary round last month, while Cavan boss Mattie McGlennan has handed championship debuts to centre-forward Conor Madden and corner-forward Nick Clerkin for his side’s opener.
