MUCH WAS MADE of how Monaco’s energetic side that finished as French champions and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League had been ripped to shreds.
The likes of Bernardo Silva, Benjamin Mendy and Tiémoué Bakayoko all headed for the Premier League while their jewel – teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe – was signed by domestic rivals Paris Saint-Germain.
However, they managed to keep hold of the likes of Thomas Lemar, signed the terrific Youri Tielemans and they still can count on the rebirth of Radamel Falcao too.

The Colombian striker has shone brightly for his side in the early stages of this season.
In just seven league games, he’s managed 11 goals and Monaco sit level on points with PSG at the top of the table.
Earlier tonight, Falcao scored another brace as his side swept aside the challenge of Lille, winning 4-0.
