WITH CELTIC 1-0 down to Rangers in today’s Scottish Cup semi-final, Ronny Deila’s side were presented with a golden opportunity to get back in the game.

However, after Leigh Griffiths’ shot hit the post, Patrick Roberts — the 19-year-old on loan from Man City — somehow managed to hit an open-goal chance wide from the rebound.

Much to Celtic and Roberts’ relief, the Scottish Premiership leaders have since equalised thanks to Erik Sviatchenko’s bullet header from a corner.

Kenny Miller had previously put Rangers ahead in the 16th minute, scoring against his former club.

The game would eventually finish 2-2 before Rangers prevailed 5-4 in an epic penalty shoot-out.
