A RETURN TO training for hooker Mike Sherry and centre Tyler Bleyendaal has been a silver lining for Munster head coach Anthony Foley this week.
However, after suffering a home defeat to Connacht on Saturday, there are four new names on the injury list in the form of Donnacha Ryan, BJ Botha, Francis Saili and Andrew Conway.
Conway has missed training so far this week through illness while Botha is undergoing return to play protocols after a suspected concussion.
Ryan reported rib pain after the 12 – 18 loss, but was fit enough to take on modified training in the form of a gym programme. Saili is suffering from a calf strain and will undergo a scan today to determine its severity.

Meanwhile, scrum-half Conor Murray has stepped up his return from a bruised foot with light running at Munster’s UL base. Tommy O’Donnell (hip), Johnny Holland (hamstring) and Peter McCabe (pec) are also continuing their rehabilitation. Sherry and Bleyendaal will consult with the medical team tomorrow to help determine their respective return dates.
