DARRAGH MALONEY MAY not have to endure Joe Brolly for much longer, if Michael Lyster gets his way.
The long-time Sunday Game presenter has been absent from GAA fans’ screens recently since a serious heart attack.
Lyster’s recovery is going well however — he’s ‘improving all the time’ — and he today posted a message to Facebook.
“I would like to thank most sincerely everybody for all of the messages that I’ve got from you; from the cards, from messages that have been left in the office, from mass cards and so forth,” he says.
“Really every one of them is appreciated because I knew the trouble you went to to send those. So thank you very, very much indeed.
“And apart from that I have been watching The Sunday Game on the telly of course and seeing how things are going, keeping in touch with everything and hopefully I’ll see you back on the television in the very near future.”

Brolly has been treating Darragh Maloney the same way that the school brat treats a substitute teacher.
Be great to see Michael back. Not the same without him but in saying that Darragh has been doing an absolutely sterling job in his absence as you would expect. Best presenter RTE have across the board.
Thank god for that , he’s the only one who knows how to handle the pundits and get the debates going
Will be great to have you back Michael
