Michael Darragh Macauley had a moment to forget during a schools skills challenge earlier

The Ballyboden St Enda’s man won’t want to see this again.

AS WE’VE SEEN in recent weeks, members of the Dublin All-Ireland winning squad have been embarking on a whistle-stop tour of clubs and schools around the capital with the Sam Maguire.

Earlier, Jonny Cooper, Michael Darragh Maculey and manager Jim Gavin stopped by Ballyroan Boys National School, Scoil Naomh Padraig, St Colmcilles SNS and Sancta Maria College to show off the silverware.

But these visits are rarely quiet affairs.

You might remember Dean Rock breaking into a rendition of ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ during a trip to Coláiste Bríde last week and the reception given to the Dubs this morning was deafening.

These visits are often memorable for the players as they’re given a heroes welcome by a hall full of young fans – but Maculey will want to forget this moment.

On the face of it, competing in a skills challenge in a school hall is a pretty straightforward task for a footballer of his ability. Well, think again.
